PROGRAMS & CENTERS

The Geraldine Richtand Pediatric Marrow & Blood Cell Transplantation Program

The Geraldine Richtand Pediatric Marrow & Blood Cell Transplantation Program at CHAM is a comprehensive program which offers this potentially curative therapy to patients with a widerange of blood disorders. 

Hematologic Malignancy

The Pediatric Hematologic Malignancy Team at CHAM provides comprehensive care for children and young adults with cancers arising from the bone marrow or lymph nodes.

Hemostasis and Thrombosis

Comprehensive diagnostic and treatment programsprograms, social services, psychological, dental and orthopedic specialty support for the long term evaluation and treatment of children with all conditions related to hemostasis and thrombosis.

IMPACT Program

IMPACT is a multidisciplinary program whose team members provide complementary therapies to pediatric patients and their caregivers. With the approval of your physician, IMPACT offers the various therapies to help reduce side effects and stress and bring comfort to our patients and caregivers.

Sickle Cell Disease Program

One of every 400 African-American children and one of every 1,250 Hispanic American children is born with sickle cell anemia that can result in recurrent, painful episodes called "sickle cell crises." The disease also results in increased vulnerability to infections, organ damage, and early death.

REACT Program

The Reassessment and Evaluation After Cancer Treatment (REACT) Program was developed to meet the needs of survivors of childhood cancer. The goal of REACT is to maximize patients’ quality of life by providing outstanding long-term medical and psychological education, screening, and treatment.

Pediatric Sarcoma Program

The Children's Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) has assembled a team of specialists devoted to the medical and surgical management of all types of sarcomas, including: angiosarcomas, fibrosarcomas, gastrointestinal stromal tumors, liposarcomas, leiomyosarcomas, neurofibrosarcomas, rhabdomyosarcomas, synovial sarcomas, osteosarcomas, Ewing's sarcomas, and chondrosarcomas.

Intra-abdominal Solid Tumor Program

As a dedicated children’s hospital that is part of Montefiore Medical Center and the Montefiore Health System, CHAM facilitates access to a wide range of providers who offer expertise across all disciplines.  The intra-abdominal solid tumor team at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) provides expert and multi-disciplinary care for children with numerous types of tumors.
