Our staff works across departments to deliver high quality care to children in the Bronx, Westchester, northern Manhattan, and beyond. Many of our faculty members are involved in active research, and collectively, we address a wide range of physical and psychological issues that children and young adults face. Montefiore Medical Group has two sites in the Bronx serving General Pediatric care:
East Bronx: The Comprehensive Family Care Center (CFCC), located in a neighborhood health center.
North Bronx: The Family Care Center (FCC), a multispecialty site.
Both sites provide complete family healthcare services, including adult medicine and obstetric and gynecological care, as well as pediatrics. They accept a wide range of insurance plans, including Medicaid, Medicaid Managed Care and Child Health Plus. Each offers:
- 24 hour-a-day telephone access
- Evening hours for working parents
- Referrals within the network of subspecialists at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM)
- Hospitalization at CHAM when necessary
- Comprehensive care of newborns at the Weiler and Wakefield newborn nurseries.
