The Hemostasis and Thrombosis Program at CHAM includes a multidisciplinary team of hematologists, nurse practitioners, social workers, physical therapists and child life specialists.
The team is led by Dr. Jennifer Davila, a pediatric hematologist who’s main focus is to provide superior acute and long-term care for children with bleeding disorders and thrombosis. Additional members of the team include senior pediatric hematologists Dr. Deepa Manwani and Dr. Catherine Driscoll, nurse practitioners Catherine Bell, Natalie Lind and Michelle McInerny, and social worker Rigoberto Tomala. With the assistance of our state of the art blood bank and specialized coagulation laboratory, we are able to offer optimal diagnostic evaluation and treatment of abnormal bleeding, specifically optimizing surgery to prevent excessive blood loss. The Hemostasis and Thrombosis Program at CHAM has developed individualized, risk-based screening to help assess the risk of future clot development. In addition,as our patients grow into adulthood, we assist with a seamless transition in to the adult hemostasis thrombosis program at Montefiore Medical Center, led by Dr. Henny Billett.
